***Xmas With Sparkles***

So we want to see your creations with Xmas and Sparkles as the main focus.

You can make anything you like, maybe a card, a scrapbook layout of even home décor. You can use any products you like to enter as long as it follows the theme for this week. We don’t have many rules but check them out in the side bar if you need to.

So let’s see what the design team have made for us...

Fiona - I have used for my first GDT Make a image called Twiggy bauble from the Twiggy and Toots Festive Fun cd I added some glitter to the frame and to twiggy to make it sparkle. Twiggy and Toots is available as a digital download or cd .

Anjie - I have printed some papers from the Angelberry Christmas collection onto centura pearl card to give the background some sparkle, I've added a bit of glare on the photo so you can see this. I've then printed some embellies from the same collection and some mushroom houses from the Home For Christmas Collection and added some glitter over the snow. I've mounted them all onto 3D foam to give it some dimension. These two collections work fabulously together don't you think! (More photos on my blog)....

Julie -- Christmas and sparkle!  Fun!  Everything on this card -- papers, poinsettia, sentiment and tag, are all from the Picknix 3, Nordic Winter collection.  It's available in Digital Download and CD.

Monica.-Have you heard about pocket letters? Those beautiful set of nine 2.5 by 3.5 cards you make to fill the pockets of a letter size page. I love this and I have Christmas swap with my friends. Twiggy & Toots Festive Fun papers, precoloured images and sentiments were just perfect to make my Christmas pocket letter set. I add lots glitter to some of the images and 3d other.

Tanya...This week I've been playing with texture and adding glitter to it by using the papers from Twiggy & Toots Festive Fun (available HERE on CD  and HERE on download) on an MDF Santa.  There's more pictures on my blog. 

Helen ...I've used the 'Winter Deer' Octavia Frosted Download available HERE  and paper from the Eden Collection Paper Heaven 1 Bundle available HERE. There is glitter glue on the snow and I've used gems plus the gold card....

Jane – Like many of you I could not resist the lure of the current colouring book craze made even more tempting by the downloadable ones available in the Polkadoodles Shop HERE.  Today I have coloured up one of Nikky’s incredible images that you will get this month when you join the COLOUR THERAPY CLUB.  I used my Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils and went a little sparklelicious with Stickles.  You can find the sentiment bauble among many other scrummy things as part of the PICKNIX 2 GINGERBREAD TWIST download.  Have a lovely crafty day! xxx

Lynda: I love this weeks challenge... any excuse to get the glitter out :-) I used my favourite collection this week, Nordic Winter. The beautiful papers, digi stamp, sentiment and embellishments are all included either on the  CD or if you prefer to not wait you can buy is as a digital download. Have Fun xx

Emma - I just love the Twiggy & Toots Festive Fun collection & it was my go to collection when I saw this challenge. I have used one of the house templates for the base of this card, I have added the pre-coloured Christmas trimming that can be found Here I have added some sparkle to her hat & top of the pot. All of the embellishments & templates are from the full collection that can be found Here.

Wendy -What's Christmas with out sparkles! For my image I've used Frosty Penguins from the Octavia Frosted Winter collection. You can also get the image as an individual digi here. My sparkles are from using Sparkle pens.

Audrey has used Hollybobs Angel digi image which can also be found in Work and Play Volume 5 Festive Hollybobs Full Download.  This image was such fun to color with Copics and I added Stickles and glitter pen for some added sparkle.  Papers and sentiment are from Angelberry Christmas CD Rom.  Flowers and tree are from the Octavia Frosted Winter Digital Download.  Sure hope you like it!...Inside:

Aunty Sue - Hi for my card this week I have decided to use a non Christmas image Oddella Fairy and one of the Frosted Winter sentiments. both of these can be purchased as downloads,more details on my blog As you can see i have gone with the clean and simple style. Lots of glitter on her dress not sure if it is showing though....

Helen - Well after a month, I was asked to stay for another term of being a GDT and of course said yes! This time I've used the Beautiful Birdhouse 2 Digi, together with a backing paper form the Eden Collection Paper Heaven pack 1.

Jane – I do love all the gorgeous autumnal shades that we have right now but rarely use them so I really enjoyed the chance to play with different colours for a change.  As I have another brother and sister-in-law with a wedding anniversary coming up (I mean how selfish!) I needed a card to celebrate their day and this is what I made!  The beautiful peacock image is a digi from one of my all-time fave collections DOLLIE DAYDREAM GOES EAST where you can also find this sentiment.  I printed the image twice onto Kraft card, flipping one so that they are facing each other.  I coloured with my Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils but could not of course stick to the traditional peacock colours, well it would not have matched the theme, but I think it works.  Have a lovely crafty day!

Julie -- Reds, Oranges, &/or Browns -- the colors of Autumn in Wisconsin.  While on a car trip this past weekend, I saw fields of sunflowers past their prime.  They were the inspiration for today's flip card.  The sunflower image, colored with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils,  is from the Sundae of Seasons CD (Halloween).  The sentiment tag and designer paper is from the Winston Deluxe Full Collection.  It can also be found on CD. 

Monica.-I really feel confortable with this colour combo. I love it!!! I made a diamond card to pop out this beautiful gingerbread angel in such gorgeous colours. I used one of my favorites collections, Picknix 2 Gingerbread Twist.

Anjie - I have used the sweet Snow White image and coloured her with alcohol markers. The papers I have used are from the Wonderland CD, they are all matted onto brown card.  I made my own flower using the same papers and the foliage is a Tattered Lace die. The bow is from the Octavia collection. More pics on my blog.

Aunty Sue- For my card this week I have used more of the oranges and browns with touches of red in my ribbon. Of course I have used our lovely little Fairy Serenity from Serenity Wishes available in the shop HERE as a download. Papers are from this collection too. More details on my blog

Tanya...Hello folks.  I love red orange and brown combo and so instead of just using one of the colours I've used all of them and have used one of the new Colour Therapy sheets from collection two available as a CD here and a Download here and as a bundle of three different designs here.  I've also done a bit of Zentangle as well.  More photos and details on my blog. 

Wendy - Reds, oranges & browns say autumn to me, which here in the UK means rain! And what better image than Twiggy & Toots rainy days. You can get the digi on its own here or as part of the Twiggy & Toots collection, here. The birdhouse card template I've used is also on the collection.

Audrey took the perimeters of this challenge quite literally on all parts of my card and coloring.  I chose the image Octavia Moonfly Wistful, which is available as a single image (both black and white and colored versions are included) or you can get her as part of Octavia Moonfly Big Kahuna Digital Craft Bundle, which is where I got my image.    I also found my sentiment in the Octavia Moonfly Big Kahuna Digital Craft Bundle.  The kraft paper with the mushrooms and ladybugs is from Winston Deluxe Full Collection, the orange striped paper is from Halloween/Autumn Paper Heaven 2 and the red paper is from Work and Play Volume 1 Collection, found in the boy bodybuilder section.  Mushroom and pumpkin embellies are from Autumn/Fall Digis Colored Bundle.

Emma - I have make something really different for me, I have up cycled a frame that i brought a while ago. I have coloured up one of Nicky's new colouring pages from the Colour Therapy Adult Colouring books that can be found Here & Here. I have added a lovely quote that i found in the Twiggy & Toots collection that can be found Here.

Lynda: For this weeks challenge I used the beautiful Dollie Daydream Goes East collection.It's available as download bundle or on a CD.  The paper,embellishments and flowers are all from this bundle.Have Fun xxx

Helen - I'm here with my 4th and final GDT spot, I've had a great time joining you lovely ladies and have thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks for having me! I've used 'Twiggy and Toots Paper Heaven 5 Bundle' and 'Eden - Plain Jane' papers download plus 'Winston Bear Etty Sewing' digi stamp.

Naz - Hi everyone, I'm joining you this week from the Polkadoodles team as a GDT as I had some spare time and wanted to do some extra DT work. On my card I have used the colour combo of yellow and green with a hint of blue. Everything I have used is from the Work and Play 10, Country Life collection.

Anjie - Everyone who knows me knows this bright blue is my fave colour of all time and that I also love purple. This past 3 or 4 years my hair has been both of these colours a few times!

The image, papers, embellies and the sentiment are all from the fabulous Octavia Frosted Winter download collection. If you prefer this on CD you can buy that HERE. And you can buy the image on it's own HERE.

Jane – Now like most of you I have a few fave colour combos but at the very top of that list has to be the super lush lilac/purple with blue/aqua! So as these are cool shades I chose a cool image to work with called ICE FISHING and she and her puffin are available as an individual digi or as part of the incredible OCTAVIA FROSTED WINTER COLLECTION.  The papers and sentiment are also from this collection and I coloured with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils.  Have a lovely crafty day! xxx

Tanya...I'm a proper colour combo girl and love love love colour in general, especially bright colours and after a long think I decided to go with pink and brown and made this sweet 70th birthday card, again like last week, using the Winston Collection.  This time I've used Etty Sewing and have decoupaged her and the papers and sentiments and button embellishments are from the collection to.  You can buy the collection on CD HERE or on Download HERE or even as a black and white digi HERE.  

Julie -- I went 3 ways with this theme, using my favorite Copic combinations, using pink and blue on my card -- a favorite of mine, and using this person and dog stamp -- a great, colorful combination!  The stamp and papers are part of a mini collection called "Kath Walking the Dog Digital Craft Download".  The sentiment is from the Winston Deluxe Paper Crafting collection.  I distressed the edges of all the papers to give it more of a rugged, outdoorsy look.

Monica.-My favorite colour combo are "earthy" tones, that´s why I love Autumn. Of course for my make I have had to use "Autumn/Fall digi stamp bundle". I used precoloured elements; also papers from Picknix.-In the garden and the sentiment is from Dollie Dream Goes East.

Lynda: My favourite color combo is Cool Aqua, pale brown and white so the papers from the Nordic Winter collection are just perfect, their definitely on my must have Christmas stash list.  This collection is available on  CD or as a digital download.  The image I used is so cute. he's called Hollybobs-snowballing. Have Fun xx 

Emma - My fav colour combo just has to be Blue & Purple, whenever I reach for my colouring medium I alway seem to pick up blues & purples. I have used Husky Hugs from the Frosted Winter Collection who can be found as an individual digi Here & I have coloured her up using Prismacolor Pencils. All of the papers are from the full Frosted Winter collection that can be found Here

Wendy - One of my favoured combo's is pink & green, I love the contrast of them together. For this card, I've used Octavia - Bird in Hand as my main image. The sentiment is also Octavia, but from the Moonfly collection, as is the alphabet I've used to make the 'daughter' tag and the pink backing paper.

Aunty Sue -  Hi well how long have you got Being a Gemini I have different favorite colour combos depending on the season and my mood. However this being Autumn I just love Browns with Orange and Green. For my card I have used Work & Play 10 - Country Life . The image i have used is Dog walker which is something I love to do. The papers are also from the CD. 

Audrey's favorite color combo is Pink, Purple and Turquoise.  I chose my image, Octavia Moonfly Rose Garden from the Octavia Moonfly Digital Craft Bundle, she can also be purchased as a single image HERE.  Image is colored with Copics and I made an aperture display card to showcase this beautiful image.  I chose papers from Eden Big Kahuna Download Collection and they can also be found in Eden Collection Paper Heaven 5 download.  My sentiment is from Work and Play Collection Volume 11.
