Jane – Hello everyone! I am sharing a card showcasing one of my favourite spring flowers today; the DAFFODIL. I die-cut an area of the blooms with a heart die and simply coloured that section for a simple but effective ‘spotlight’ look.
Madison- I love making cards like this. Something extra special. The Flowers and Foilage bundle is beautiful and I think they are showcased lovely here in a cute little kraft card pot. All finished off with a 'Happy' sentiment.
Candace - For today's challenge project, the theme is Spring Flowers, use a flower digital image and no people or animals on project. I created this card using Flowers and Foliage - Winnie Special Moments Craft Digi. The sentiment is from Quotes - Winnie Special Moments which I printed on the pitcher. The pattern papers are from Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Paper Heaven 5 and Enfys Jetsetting Digital Stamp.
Lee - Daffodil'y Day! I am so in LOVE with that sentiment because Daffodils are one of my FAVORITE flowers! This Blooms 2 Daffodil bundle is so sweet and perfectly Springtime! I colored with all my yellow Copics! LOL And I used a mix of the papers Sweet Tweet and Fresh Twist which are so bright and cheery for Spring florals! Of course some fun embellishments and ribbon and Spectrum Noir glitter pen oh my! Hope you have a fabulous bright and cheery week!
LINH (LVHandcrafted) – I’ve always wanted to try this – art journaling! I felt intimidated because I’m not an artist, but digis are a fantastic way to start! To create my 2-page spread, I used the Daisydays bundle, which had just about everything I needed.
I used one of the pattern papers as my background. It has a lot of texture and subtle images as if it’s been stamped or stenciled. Pattern paper is the perfect way to break that white canvas! I used a yellow acrylic paint and “stamped” with some bubble wrap packaging for some added visual texture. Then, I fussy cut the pre-colored flowers and leaves from Daisydays and arranged them across both pages. I also printed some of the doodle art from Daisydays onto vellum, which I then colored with alcohol markers to make my own “washi stickers”. I added some black outlines and doodles with a sharpie and a little white splatter was my finishing touch! Starting with digis and minimal supplies was the perfect intro to art journaling for me! Check out my process video below to see how I made this project.
