So let's see what the Design Team have been making this week, which is all about back to school ideas...
Today we are thrilled to welcome 2 new DT members so a huge big welcome and hello to Jennifer and Samantha, we're so excited to see the projects they'll be bringing for us all!
Pueen Queen (Jennifer) - For this fun back to school card, I started with Polkadoodles
an apple a day digital stamp. I colored this adorable little girl with ohuhu alcohol markers and finished her up by quickly fussy cutting her out. For the background, I used a sun ray stencil and a grass stencil with ranger distress inks to imply a sunny morning. I clear heat embossed the blue sky and added some clear glitter paste to the grass for a little sparkle and shine. The "have a fun day" sentiment is from Polkadoodles
noodle panda themed messages, digital message printable pack. It was easy as print, cut, glue for this sentiment. I did pop it up a bit on some thin foam squares to help it stand out from the background.
Finally, to make this card extra fun, I popped up my school girl on an action wobbler. I think the first day of school should definitely be fun, and what's more fun than an interactive card? I can't believe how simple and easy it was to create this card with the Polkadoodles digital products! I hope you love my fun, back to school project today. Have a creative day. -Jennifer S.
Samantha - Hi everyone. Today I am featuring a card showcasing the ever adorable Winnie headed back to school using the
Sharing an Apple image Copic colored in blues and reds. For Winnie’s dress, however, I did a little paper piecing using a printable paper from the
Winnie White Christmas digi downloads set. I also used a corresponding red striped paper from the same paper set for the background along with a little subtle ink blending with Distress Oxide ink. And yes, you can use digital images for paper piecing techniques, you just have to run the same sheet of paper through your printer twice, once for the paper image and a second time for the feature image. To finish things off I used the
Enjoy sentiment and I couldn’t be happier with how this cute card turned out.
Catrin - Hi everyone! Send an encouraging back to school card to someone with this fab image, Reach for the Stars - Rebel - I have used a beld on blue distress inks on the background and added some white gel pen dots and stars. Rebel has been coloured with promarkers and Gold Glitter Glue has been added to the stars. The Sentiment is from Rebel Messgaes with attitude and heat foiled with reactive foil.
Martine - Hey there, I am back for school! Well... not me actually , i am passed that stadium lol.
But my card is ! I used Helga Hippo for this one....
Working hard it`s called. The paper i used is from
Paper Heaven 1 . I added a pencil and a little bottle with some ink in it. Hope you like it!
Shruti - To make this card the main element of the card is from
Apple A Day/Teacher/School PRECOLOURED digital stamp with a Clock from Helga Hippo - Design Sheet 1 Duo
and for background papers I've used below papers from
Coffee Tea and Cake paper patterns bundleand the
Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Springtime DESIGN SHEET 3. Also, is there anyone who has noticed that I've used a lined notebook's page :D in the background. Hope you like the card.
Kim Stewart - My Design Team project this week with a theme of Back to School(where has the summer gone to?) I chose to do a set of cards with a boy and a girl(hmmm grandchildren starting kindergarten in Sept) ;-) CAS for me this week! I picked
Rebel Rainbow - she really looks so much like my granddaughter as well as
Little Dudes Cool Dudes which I coloured with my Copic Markers.
I chose paper selections this week from
Noodle the Panda pack 2 , Winnie Celebrations 3 pack 2 and lastly from
Gnome for Men Dad/Father. What have you been working on this week?
