Let's take a look at the Design Team inspiration this week and the team were asked to make a shaker card for New Year, using metallic colours...
Candace - For today's challenge project, the theme is New Year, use metallic colors and make a shaker card. I used the image New Friends Snowman Too Cute, background paper is from Winnie Winterland and sentiment from Winnie White Christmas Sentiments. I created a shaker for the center of my card using silver metallic paper and backed it with white metallic paper. The snowman image was perfect to make a snowy shaker piece!
Jane–My shaker card today celebrates what will hopefully be a happy New Year. This lovely lady isWINNIE CHAMPAGNE CELEBRATIONand she is wishing you good health and happiness for 2022. I have decorated around her using the newCELEBRATIONSstamp set and also the bottle and glass from theCHEERS LOVELYset. I have used theCONFETTI LAYERING STENCILSto add interest to one of the layers and cut theCELEBRATEdie from gold card (this die is currently at a fantastic sale price so grab it while you can).
Madison - For my shaker card today I have used some gorgeous Silver and Royal Blue Metallic card stock to mat my card blank. I have used a frame die to create the shaker element and used the beautiful Ruby and coloured her to match the metallic colours. She is definitely glamourous. All finished with the perfect Lets Party sentiment.
KIM STEWART - For this weeks DT project we were challenged with creating a Shaker Card.
For my card i used an image from the new Gnome Festive Fun line called Candy Cane. (Isn't she the cutest) - For papers i chose from this Winnie White Christmas set. I die cut out of ornament shape to use as my shaker and put Diamond Dust Glitter inside.
Parmi - The theme for the card was to use two metallic colours together to create a shaker themed New Year card. I created this card using the Gansai Tambi Starry metallic watercolours for the back ground in rose gold and a copper colour as a watercolour wash. The main image is the “Winnie Winter Frozen Digi stamp” which I coloured with alcohol markers using mainly grey colours and a pop of colour for the nose and skin. The image was cut using the Cricut file. I cut acetate to fit the background panel and then added silver shaker embellishments to create the shaker portion of the card and then added the main image on top. The image was altered to replace the greeting “happy birthday” on the card held by Winner to read Happy New Year.
LINH– For today’s challenge, I combine two metallics – gold and turquoise to make this New Year’s, full-front shaker card. What an amazing color combination! This color palette is inspired by thepre-colored Winnie Anniversary digi. I also gold foiled the polkadot pattern paper from theLet’s Hang Out digi paper bundleonto teal colored cardstock. Finally, I filled the shaker with gold & turquoise sequins to finish my card. So much bling! Check out how I made this card in myYT process video.
Marina - For this card I used the"Hollybobs Mistletoe" digital stamp set and my markers with glitter. I coloured the image in yellow and green and I create also two metallic ornaments in witch i put glitter inside. For the background i used "Baked With Love - Paper Heaven 2"pattern paper.

Rose Hello friends - Today, I have created a Money Wallet card using digital image - Anniversary - Winnie Celebrations 1 with digital papers Winnie Winterland - Paper Heaven 1 - I have coloured the image with Copic Makers and added few mini blings to the image. Printed and added extra sentiment inside.
Maz - I created this money wallet using background paper from Winnie Winterland Big Kahuna Bundle, printed on to Kraft card. I stamped the adorable image from Gnome Let it Snow Stamp Set, also on Kraft card and coloured with Prismacolor Pencils. To close the wallet, I used the beautiful Glorious Border Die, pierced 2 holes at the back of the wallet and threaded jute twine through the die-cut, to create a closing bow. All details can be found on my blog.
MARZENA...I found the instructions for the purse on Pinterest. I decorated it with copper. The Beautiful Champagne Celebration Winnie adorns the front of the purse. I got the saying from this digital paper set.
ROBERTA...To make my money wallet I used a white cardstock on which I then glued two of the cards from the Christmas collectionWinnie Winterland - Paper Heaven: for the outside I used a pattern with poinsettias, while for the inside I used a plain color. with light background designs. I inserted a magnet for the closure and above I thought of gluing a nice colored digital with the Spectrum Noir Classique, it isKittycat Lil Miss Sugarpops. I had a piece of transparent polishrink and I thought of tracing the drawing I had previously colored; I colored it with markers, cut it out and made a hole. From another piece of polishrink I punched a small tag and stamped a sentiment. Finally with the embosser I heated the polishrink until it got smaller and became very resistant. The embellishments created I then attached to a chain.

Let's take a look at the Design Team inspiration this week and the team were asked to make ANYTHING WITH A CLOSURE..
Sam - This week's Design Team challenge was to make a card with a closure...well I don't think I have made one of there before so I'll be honest I had to look to see what this meant. Even after 18 years of card making I am still learning new things! So I used the pre-coloured Polar Bear imagine from the new Festive Fun Gnome collection and papers from the Elvis Wesley ChrisMoosePrintable papers. You really have to check out both those super cute collections! Happy Crafting!
Madison - For this weeks Design challenge, it was make a card with a closure of some kind. I must admit I was unsure at first but then this style of card popped into my head. It's an envelope style closure, but when you lift the panels at the front you reveal the card. I have used some ink blending and the gorgeous Waddy Surprise with some added glitter. I have used a tag as the closure element on the front of the card, to hide the velcro closure.
and then cut out the design. I created a box as my base of my card and I decorated it with the Baked With Love - Paper Heaven 2 design paper. I glue my Elf like standing in snow with some gifts nearby. As a sentiment i used "Merry Christmas" circle from Baked With Love - Sentiments.
Parmi - I created this tri fold card with a ribbon fastening which was created from two card bases fixed together to create a tri fold opening. The main image on the card was created using the "Gnometastic Birthday gift" svg file which is printed and cut out using my circuit. This was coloured using alcohol markers to add dimension to the image. I also used the "gnometastic sentiments" which I cut from two colours so I could overlap them to create a shadow on the text. A sentiment was added to the front of the card and one panel inside with a further gnome image inside.
Happy DIGI CHOOSDAY everyone, For today's challenge of anything goes with christmas and a closure of some type I created a card with a band holding the card closed. I put my my main image on the band. I chose Too Cute Snowmen Frosty Hugs, so adorable.
As a surprise under the main image and band I hid another image and used my favourite girl WINNIE(Surprise) from the Winnie White Christmas line called Snowy FootPrints. I used papers from the new Elvis Wesley paper bundle. To hold the band down i embedded a negative and a positive magnet between the cardstock pieces and that keeps it closed.
LEE - Happy Christmas! This time we're making cards with closures... so I couldn't resist a fun little gift card holder! TheGnome Let's Get Blitzen StampandMatching Die setis so freakin' cute!! I just love them so much and had to do some pink coloring! LOL Also these gorgeoussilver leavesare becoming my favorite for winter cards! They add such sparkle! A few little Dewdrops and someSatin Cordand voila! A Christmas card and gift all in one and it still folds flat to mail! I hope you all have fun creating some cheerful Christmas and winter cards!
LINH – Today I made a 5x7 gatefold card with a belly band closure...
I love all the papers from theGnome Much Fun bundle(this bundle comes with a LOT of goodies). It was hard to choose but this one was perfect for this card. Wanda Penguin Surpriseis the perfect little surprise reveal when the shutter opens. He’s just so adorable! Check out how I made this card in myYT process video below!
WOW!! The team really came up with some AMAY-ZING ideas & videos this week for you - I LOVE these projects!!
