So let's take a look at the Design Team's new creations this week - our inspiration is all about animals and the team loved creating some super cute card inspiration for you ...

Melanie - Morning crafters! Today I've created a card with the DT theme of Critters/animals. Since I adore cats, I could not help but use Mod the cat. In order to create my scene, I also used the chair, rug and picture frames from Build a scene. For the images inside the pictures, I used the butterfly from Tropical sorbet bundle, the vase of blossoms from the Blooms 4 bundle and last but not least the Bear from Bella Bear with Heart. For my background, I used the yellow floral paper to create wallpaper from pretty spring papers and for the floor I used brown textured paper from the cactus succulent printable papers. I coloured the images using my spectrum noir alcohol markers and finished the card using the sentiment 'I'm so sorry' which is from the Winnie Daisy quotes and sentiments bundle. I think the card just shows you how versatile all the different images and bundles are from Polkadoodles and showcases how amazing digital crafting is as you can adapt anything to bring your vision to life.

Jane – This cute little guy is called SCRUFF DOG WITH HEART COOKIES, and I have teamed him with paper from the HORACE & BOO COLLECTION and a ‘delicious’ sentiment from WINNIE SUNSHINE DELIGHTS.

Candace - For today's challenge project, the theme is Critters/Animals. I used the adorable craft bundle: Mr. Sox the Fox. This bundle comes with 1 black & white digital image, 1 pre-coloured digital image, outline cutting files, 2 digital sentiments and 6 digital pattern papers.

Catrin - Hi Everyone Shring today a shaker card using 'Leo the Lion' from the Zodiac Release. I have also used one of the charts from the Zodiac/ Horoscope Star sign and chart digital stamps. for additional embellishments i have used the Candlef from the 'Birthday Candles Digital Stamps' and the cake from the 'Zodiac Horoscope Star Sign Planets Birthday digital Stamps'. The backing papers have been taken from 'Zodiac/ Horoscope star sign Printabel Paper patterns 2'. All of these can also be baught in the 'Zodiac/ Horoscope/ Star Sign - BIG Kahuna bundle'

Martine - O no.... you're sick! I made this get well card with Mammoth Dinosaur , and because he looks a little bit sad, i made a get well card of it. The background paper is from this set , Textured Animal Prints Paper 4. And also are those Scrabble letters . Put some flowers and a heart on it and your card is finished. Hope you feel better soon !

Kim Stewart - For my project this week i chose one of the digis from the new/old Lilybug Ladybird line. I picked one of the precoloured digis for my project called Fun Lily Ladybug I fussy cut her out and matted her onto two of the Ephemera elements. I also used some of the plain coloured and decorative hearts which i layered on top of and undernearth my main image for some extra layering and attention. I chose decorative papers from the paper pack bundles 2 & 5 out of the Big Kahuna download. I had to add some mulberry flowers to finish off the card. This would also make a wonderful Mother's Day card. Have a crafty Week!

I'm in love with this collection and seen many projects made using this wonderful collection from Polkadoodles on social media! Since then I was planning to work with this. This time I've made a fun fold triangle card. As the theme was critters/animals I've used main elements from

So let's take a look at the Design Team's new creations this week - our inspiration is all about Mother's Day which is coming up for lots of people on 14th May, so we wanted to bring you some ideas you can use that will show how special she is...

Maz - This Mother's Day card features the beautiful Butterfly Flowerpots. I attached twice and flipped one of the images in Microsoft Word, then resized slightly smaller. I coloured using markers and then adhered to dark green corrugated card. Backing paper is from Spring into Easter paper pack 1. More details on my blog.

Rose - Hello ladies, It's almost MOTHER'S DAY on my side of the world - for which I have created a very clean and simple criss-cross card. Using digital image Blooms 5 Tulip Peony Flower Bundle - I decided to use Tulip Bunch - it was quite a joy to colour & cut around the image. I used 3D pop dots to place the sentiment & added a few clear gems.

Maritza: Hello my crafty friends, I made a Mother's Day card, most of the time I use color palettes in pink or pastel tones to make my cards, but this time I used this color palette in more vibrant tones. I have used a digital image New Hat Easter Bunnie Winnie Sugar, digital papers are Spring in to the Easter set 3, and sentiment are Winnie Sugar Sprinkle Sentiments/Quote. 

Christin - Whose mother doesn't love flowers? My mothers favorite flowers are tulips so I used the beautiful precoloured Tulip Darling Bud. For the background I used my lovely distress oxides and a stencil again. A few glitter enamel dots give the card the final touch.

Monika - Hi all crafters, it's Monika with a Mother's day card today. I enjoy playing with Fancy Folds and I created a tower fold card. As Mother's Day is very special, I used the digi stamp from 'The Darling Buds Big Bundle', 'The Crocus', it is my number one collection. I used alcohol markers to colour in the image and to decorate the panels I used 'Spring into Easter' set 2 and 'Spring into Easter set 3' digi papers. I thought these soft colours with a little bit of contrast would be a perfect combo for a Mother's Day card. Wendy - Hello everyone I hope you are having a lovely week so far.  The theme for this week is Mother's Day and I've decided to make a  card using the sweet Winnie Daisy Fairy - Taking a Break digital.  I think she looks so relaxed with her mug of coffee and cake.  I've used one of the fabulous new background scenes for my one-layer card - this one is the Country Road scene  coloured with my Promarkers.  The sentiment is from Winnie Special Moments bundle.

INTERACTIVE CARDS/PROJECTS

Melanie - Morning crafters, today I'm sharing an interactive card which has been created without the need of any specialty dies. All features of my card have been taken from the Tropical sorbet bundle which fits with the challenged colour palette that the team were required to use and also uses the floral theme too. The sentiment 'Let your Dreams Blossom' is from the Winnie Daisy Greetings, quotes and sentiments. I hope you like. Happy Crafting! 

Catrin - Hi everyone! Sharing my Floral Shaker Card inspiration today. Using the image and papers from the Digi Deals - 'Dahlia Flower 1'.The image has been printed and then hot foiled with Gold. I have then used Tim Holtz Distress ink 'Victorian Velvet' and 'Shabby Shutters' to Blend over the top of the gold image and fussy cut. This was then added the othe backing paper and shaker element adding in the foiled the sentiment from the same set.

Jane – I have made a rocker card for my SIL’s birthday using a B/W digi, sentiment and paper from the BLOOMING LOVELY download collection.

Candace - For today's challenge project, the theme is flowers and make an interactive card. I made a flip card using Stitched Circle Dies, Ladybug Pattern Paper, Flower Vase from Flowers and Foliage and sentiment from Winnie Sugar Sprinkles.

Kim Stewart - Happy Digi Choosday, Here we are at the end of April already. For my Design Team project this week, I designed 2 Fun Fold Flap cards around one of the new floral digi downloads called Lilac Haze. I used the coloured version of the digital stamps for my project this time. So easy to create with, especially with you aren't the colouring type of person or short on time. I printed out the stamp as is for one card and for the second card i cropped out most of the greenery and the smaller lilac flowers. I added smaller versions of the images on the backsides of my main image so you have something to see when you open the flap. I've also hidden a sentiment underneath for an added surprise. The inside has space for another sentiment and also a place to write something heartfelt. Papers also from the Lilac Haze digital download bundle. Martine - Hello, today I've used this lovely image - Primrose , the Darling Buds ..... isn't she wonderful? This time the theme was: make an interactive card....so my card has to be pulled out of a Photocamera from my stash. I colored this one with my distress inks.. as always. And put some flowers on it , they are much the same as that she has on the dress. The text on the inside is from the Eden Collection.

Shruti - I've created this Z fold interactive card with a Dahlia Flower which is beautifully popping out through a designer die cut window in Rose gold colour. For background also I've chosen floral designer papers from Happy Cactus paperpack which are perfectly going with the challenge's color palette. Sentiment is from Dahlia Flower 1 Hope you all will like this project!

Maz - For my 'Mum' themed card, I used the beautiful Lilac Haze Watercoloured Flower. I copied 3 times and decoupaged to create a 3D effect. Backing paper is from the same bundle. I finished off with adding some stamen buds to the flower centers and a little glamour dust on the petals. All details on my blog.

Rose - Hello - Today, I share my new card for Mother's Day - You're The Best

For my card I am using digital image Bunny Rabbit with Mum Greeting Card with Digital papersPretty Winnie Daisy papers . I added in few papers flowers and embellishments to finish off . You can get more details on my blog.

Maritza: Hello my crafty friends, for this week I made a tag XL, for my tag I am using a digital image Cuddles Winnie, I have painted with colours pencils, these papers are digital of collection Spring Easter set 2 , and sentiments are Winnie Sugar Sprinkle. Added flowers and in the top of tag crochet flowers and button. Happy crafting. All details on my blog.

Christin - For my new mothers day card I used the bunny rabbit with mum greeting card. For the background I used a paper from the colour of spring paper pack and framed the coloured bunny with a wreath.

Monika - Hi all crafters, it's Monika with a Mother's day card today. I love playing with Fancy Folds and I decided to create a Pop Up Front Step Panel Card. As Mother's Day is very special, I used the digi stamp from 'The Darling Buds Big Bundle', my favourite collection to colour in. I used alcohol markers to colour in the image and to decorate the panels I used 'Spring into Easter' set 2 digi papers. I love this colour combo.Do you like making fancy fold cards? Happy crafting! The DT theme this week is Mum, so I've made a card that I think my Mum would have loved to receive, after all who doesn't love cake and who can resist the sweet Bunny Rabbit with cake from the Springtime Smiles collection. The perfect sentiment for my card is from the Lets Hang Out pack and I've teamed my simple design this week with papers from Winnie Sunshine Delights paper pack 1. A perfect card for all those mums or special ladies in our lives.
