So let's get to today's inspiration... 

We are delighted to welcome Melanie to the team this week! Please follow her fab blog/IG along with the rest of the team too if you haven't already!

Melanie - Morning all, as you can see, I’ve made a circle shaped card using the gorgeous Winnie Mermaid Mermazing best friends digital stamp –which I have coloured using my spectrum noir alcohol markers. I paired this with the Winnie Mermazing mermaid quotes sentiment, ‘You are just Mermazing’ which has been printed and then die cut and added to the side of the card.  I’ve also added a touch of spectrum noir clear sparkle pen to the flowers and mermaids tail for some added bling.

Candace - For today's challenge project, the theme is to make anything but a square or rectangle card.  I made an easel circle card using the image Sunshine Delight Bouquet, papers from Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Paper Heaven 5 and Lily Bug Love Quotes for the sentiment. 

Jane – Hello everyone!  Taking a quick nap when you’re a goalie is not a great idea, especially in a penalty shootout!!  This fabulous gnome is called SOCCER/FOOTBALL from the GNOME FOR MEN COLLECTION. All the elements I used are from this bundle and I used the DISTRESSED TRELLIS stencil in the background.

Madison - Todays challenge was a fun one. I have made this star shaped card, which is a 3d make that I like to do for something different. I have used some pretty papers to mat my card stock and used a lovely Winnie Springtime image as my focal point. The sentiment is nice and simple from the Helga Hippo collection, that I have distressed to blend in with the colours of the card. 
Catrin - I don't often make a non square card but todays card is Circular.  Using the image 'Missing you' , coloured with Promarkers. I have used the printable paper from 'Lou - digital download' and the ticket sentiments from the Little Dudes - Knight and dragons digital download . I then added a few die cut embellishments and gems to complete. 
Lee - Happy summer days! I hope you're enjoying flowers and sunshine! We have flowers up on our mountain so it's inspired me to make a fairy flower card! I made a Bendi style card and front and center is the adorable Winnie Daisy Flower Fairy!  Sentiments also from the Winnie Daisy Greetings.  And some lovely ephemera with dies - Woodland Door die, Flower Flourish dies, Heart Flourish die, and the Glorious Border die.  Some Leaf Ribbon trim and Pink Twine along with buttons and dew drops! This was just so fun to make and I hope it brings a smile when I get it packaged up and sent! Have a beautiful crafty day!
LINH (LVHandcrafted) – I have never tried this before – make an entirely digital card front!  Until now, the way I’ve used digis is to print out various backgrounds, images, sentiments, etc. And then I combine them just as I would when I’m working with physical papers, stamps and dies.  However, in this video, I’ll show you how I use Photoshop to create a full card front – complete with mats and layers, digital coloring, etc.  As a bonus, I’ll also show you a quick hack for creating a stepper card! Check out my process video below to see how I made this project.

Kim Stewart - For this week's challenge project, I created a slimline card. I've been dying to use the butterflies from the Winnie Fruit Punch embellishment bundle as the main feature of my card. I finally got my chance this week.  I printed out a few sizes of the pink butterfly, and fussy cut them out. With lots of flowers surrounding them. My decorative papers are from the Coffee, Tea and Cake Bundle as well as Winnie Daisy Paper bundle. I chose my sentiment from the Winnie Daisy Fairy sentiment bundle. Loving "It's a Whatever Kinda of Day".

So let's get to today's inspiration...  We are delighted to welcome 4 new Design Team members this week - the fab and very talented Christin, DonnaWalls, Wendy and Marie - welcome ladies, we're thrilled to have you with us and to share your lovely work! Please follow their blogs/IG's along with the rest of the team too if you haven't already!


Christin - I proudly present my first card as part of the designteam of Polkadoodles for the digichooseday challenge. I used this cute hedgehog which I couloured with my alcohol markers. In the background you find the Paper Heaven 4 and a great sentiment of the Winnie Sunshine Delights sentiments. I hope you like it!

Wendy - Hello everyone, this is my first Polkadoodles Design Team post and I can't tell you how excited I am to be joining the team.  This week the DT were asked to make a card with the theme 'Just Because'. I've used the pre-coloured Cherry Chocolate Sundae Cupcake  image for my delicious cupcake card.  The image has been decoupaged and glossy accents added to the chocolate sauce. Who needs an excuse to have a delicious cake with friend after all.  I've used papers from the Winnie Sunshine Delights 6"X 6" Paper Pack 1   and some  Aged Rose frantage on the background panel to resemble the sprinkles on my cake.  More details are over on my blog.
Marie - I used this cute Winnie digital stamp to create this card. I wanted to keep it quite simple so just layered some pattern papers and added a die-cut in glitter card...

Donna Walls - Hello Crafty Friends!  I decided to create this colourful card with a patchwork of paper designs and bright colours using the Bunnita with Carrot cake digi stamp  from the Fuzzypuffs Collection.  I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and created a sunburst pattern with the designer papers.  You can find the entire card recipe on my Blog HERE.


Roberta - Good morning friends! Here's another project with a guy in love. To make it I used the Flower bunch digital stamps that I printed and colored with Spectrum Noir Classique alcohol markers. I punched three shapes with the same tag: one black that I used as a background, one white and one with a card from the Helga Hippo Paper Heaven 1 collection, and punched out the hearts. Sentiment is part of the Helga Hippo Sentiments digital set.

Rose Andrew Hello friends - For this current challenge I am using Love Heart - Honeypie digital image with Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Paper Heaven 7 Printed and coloured the image with Copic Markers and created a Shaker card . Cut out the word "JUST BEACUSE" on my Cricut machine - keeping a very simple layout . 

Maritza: Hello... My crafty friends, today share a mini folder, I love these collection. I used digital image Winnie Belle of the Ball Fairytale, and digital papers are Love Always Papers 2. Embellishments are Helga Hippo Embellies download. This image I painted with colours pencils.

Sam - Hey hello crafty people!  Not sure if you have noticed that the DT had a theme of 'Just Because' for this one and I have used Helga Hippo Say Hi.  I have used two papers for this one ...one from the Helga Hippo Paper Heaven 1 and the other from Helga Hippo Paper Heaven 3. Happy Crafting!
Maz - For my project today, I used Ula, Be a Princess and coloured using Prismacolor pencils. I created the background using Leafy Forest Stencil. The little toadstools I cut out from Winnie Wonderland Paper Heaven 4. More details on my blog.

So let's get to today's inspiration...  

  Candace - For today's challenge project, the theme is to use acetate or vellum and use any image.  I created this card with an acetate card base, then added the pattern paper to the front from Let's Hang Out printable papers, keeping an acetate border on front.  I added white cardstock on the inside of the card to write on.  I used the image Stick with me - Honeypie, which I copic colored and then adhered the image to a vellum circle which I cut out using Stitched Circle Dies.  I adhered the circle to the front of the card and pop dotted the sentiment from Spring Gnomes fun puns, quotes and sentiments to the bottom.  It was fun to use both acetate and vellum to create this card.

Jane – Hello everyone!  I have made a bubble tea shaker this week using the  FRAPPE/MILKSHAKE image from the fab COFFEE & CAKE bundle.  The paper and sentiment are also from this collection.

Madison Todays challenge was to use acetate or vellum. I am addicted to using acetate to make fun shaker elements in my makes so I decided to use Sparkle Unicorn and give her a pop art look with highlighting  the black lines on the image. The paper I have used in a classic gingham and I found a fitting sentiment from the Helga Hippo collection. 
Catrin - Hi everyone,  I coloured Meribelle Mermaid Pearl with Promarkers and for this challenge I used vellum over the top of the Winnie Starfish/Sandcastles - Papers 3 backing paper for more of a sea effect. I added a few waves, netting, anchor and a dolphin die cuts and some pearl embellishments. Finally adding the sentiment form Winnie Daisy greetings to complete.

Lee - Happy summertime outdoors time! This week the Design Team is using vellum or acetate in the designs... so I pulled out some acetate and here's a little tip: I used a lens wipe I keep for my glasses to clean off the acetate! I just love this Horace and Boo Big Kahuna collection (ok I love ALL the big kahuna collections so much!!) and thought this cutie Horace and Boo Wheelbarrow was so summery and fun! Of course there has to be embellies and decorating! So the Squarey Swirly Hearts Dieand some lovely ribbon and twine! Have to add some cute buttons! I hope you have a fantastic Horace and Boo Day!!


Kim Stewart - For my Design Team project this week,  I used a sentiment from the EDEN sentiment bundle as my centrepiece which i covered over with a circle of vellum. Then I layered  purple floral images and green leaves from the Helga Hippo Floral/Foliage Embellishment bundle - pre-coloured of course, around one side of the sentiment.  Some popped up with foam tape and some i just glued to the decorative paper.  For my paper choice I used a piece from Springtime Smile paper bundle. Lastly i put gold shards of glass(Stampendous) in the centre of the flowers to finish them off. Have a great day being creative!

LINH (LVHandcrafted) – I couldn’t resist getting the full bundle of the Winnie Daisy Collection. It comes with two versions of pre-colored images as well as the black & white for you to color in yourself. I’m featuring one of the pre-colored Flower Fairy Holding a Toadstool Balloon.  On this card, I have multiple shaker pouches from clear acetate. These were custom made to perfectly fit behind my balloon apertures.  This is a fun way to add relatively flat shaker bits, keeping this card an easy mailer. Plus, you can also fill these individual shaker pouches with differently colored bits for some more added fun.   Check out my process video below to see how I made this project.
