--------------------------------------------------

So let's see what the Design Team have been making this week... they were asked to use a background printable scene from the Polkadoodles store...

Megan -The ocean is a great love of mine, when I saw the Coast beach sea - Scene background for colouring I knew I wanted to use it for my project. From there I decided a rainy beach scene would be fun and Cute chick with umbrella and rubber boots would fit perfectly. The last image in the scene I colored was the lighthouse, and sadly there was an unfortunate incident with a red Copic marker. I was determined not to scrap the scene and start over and settled on covering it with glitter to give a nice shimmery rain effect. At this point in my life, I have decided glitter can fix everything. I love the font on the sentiment I used from the Winnie Daisy greetings quotes collection. I hope this card inspires you to roll with the oopsies.

Kim S - Wow March already?. And spring is on it's way. For my design team challenge project this week I chose this lovely background scene digital image  along with one of the ever so cute Springtime Smiles Easter digis for my card. I Coloured everything up with my Copic markers & Fussy cut out the cute bunny sitting on the easter egg digi and layered him onto the digital scene. I added a cute sentiment from the Spring Into Easter sentiments download.

Betsy - Happy spring! It's coming and this cute little chickie from the Cute Chick with Umbrella is ready! I used 2 papers from the Pretty Spring Papers and then placed my chick over those. I also printed the image out again and used just the plaid paper so I could get a plaid umbrella which I cut out and used a black marker for the edges. The coloring was minimal. Copic colors used: Y15, Y35, Y28, Y38, YR15, YR07, YR23, E15, E18, BG10, BG13, BG23, RV13, Y02. Instead of coloring the flower completely on the umbrella I used an embellishment from my stash. I added yellow Stickles for the center of it. I used an enamel dot on top of the umbrella and tiny gems on the umbrella itself and on the tiny flags in the top right corner. I added some white peel-offs edged with gold along where the 2 papers meet and on the edges of the little flags with little gems on them as well. I cut my sentiment which was from the Easter Greetings set and cut the words apart. I used foam tape to adhered them. I backed this main panel onto pink card stock, then blue card stock and adhered all to a card base. And that finished my card! Til next time... Betsy

Jenny - Today I am creating with this cute little chick to send you sunny wishes. Polkadoodles has some stencils you can make with your cutting machine so I choose to use the Raindrops background and some Distress Ink (shaded lilac, spun sugar, and scattered straw) to make it look like it is raining colorful raindrops. The pretty spring paper, the cute chick with umbrella image and the sentiment came from the Polkadoodles Springtime Smiles collection. I also used the outdoor garden border to have the chick be walking through a patch of grass.
To color the image I used Copic markers R11, YR04, V12, Y08, T2, and Y11.
I'd love for you to follow Crafting with Jenny on Facebook, Instagram or YouTube.

Candace - For today's challenge project, the theme is use one of Polkadoodles background scene or make a background from printed papers. I used the Spring into Easter Big Kahuna digital package to create this Easter card.

Martine - Well hello, ...as the team had to use a background digi....I'd never used one before! But hey...that is fun to use! I used Garden Fence and Birdhouse and put Bunny Rabbit with Roses Flowers in front of the card...so it looks like he/she is just walking out of that scenery. And i told you guys that there are such cute und funny sentiments on 1 paper , i used them again this time.... Rebel with attitude easy snips . I Colored as usual with my distress inks and added some drops. And added some roll-up flowers in the same color as the flowers in that digi. O!...i forgot those background paper.... here it is : Noodle Paper set 3 .

Jane – I love these CUTE CHICKS from the SPRINGTIME SMILES COLLECTION and I drew round them with egg shaped dies to colour them with Copics using the ‘spotlight’ technique. The background is one of the fabulous SCENES that Nikky has in the shop and this one is called PARK.

Thanks so much to the team for their GORGEOUS inspiration this week!

So let's see what the Design Team have been making this week...
Wendy - Hello everyone and happy Digi Choosday! It's time for a little more inspiration for the current challenge - this week we were asked to make a card/project with flowers using the colour orange.....not my normal go to colour but it's so warm vibrant and I think we are all ready for some warm summer sunshine in the Northern hemisphere..... So here's my card using one of the fabulous Darling Buds - this is the pre-coloured Marigold, printed out and then I've used my Polychromos to boost the orange tones on the image before fussing cutting out. The background paper is from the Freddy Fox collection, printed out after colourising on my computer and I've added a sweet Spring sentiment from the Darling buds collection too. Wishing you all a wonderful week of crafting...love and hugs Wendy J. x

Renske - Hi everyone! I'm excited to share my latest Mother's Day card creation featuring the adorable Bunny Rabbit with bunch of flowers digital stamp from Polkadoodles. Using my alcohol markers, I coloured this sweet image with a palette of purple, pink, yellow, and white tone. The background showcases a dreamy blend of Picked Raspberry distress ink with floating hearts, while layered grass details add depth to the scene. The sentiment "picked just for you" from the Spring Flower Mother Day friends greetingsset perfectly complements the bunny proudly displaying its bouquet. Happy Crafting! My Instagram: @renske.wishes.you Facebook: Renske.wishes.you

Christin - For my new card this week I used the beautiful precolored Butterfly Flowerpots for spreading some springtime vibes. Are you ready for spring like me? The digistamp can be used in so many different ways, I used it to make a card to say thank you.

Leah - Hello friends, I am back today to share another sweet, sweet stamp and die set from the new Sweet Moments Collection by Polkadoodles. This stamp set is called Hello it's Me and includes this cute bear and frame. I've paired this image with some paper and stamps from the Pretty Flowers Collection: Thanks a Bunch stamp, Hello Pretty stamp, and Pretty Colourful Paper...as well as some of the new chipboard embellishments from Sweet Moments Collection! Wow, that seems like a lot, lol, but it all came together perfectly!

Thanks so much to the team for their GORGEOUS inspiration this week!

The cake is colored with Copic markers and for the frosting layers I used a stippling technique. This card is simple, but I hope it accomplishes its purpose and makes you think, yum CAKE! So let's see what the Design Team have been making this week...

Wendy - Hello everyone I hope you are having a lovely week - it's time for some more inspiration for the Digi Choosday blog and this week we were asked to make something for Mother's Day but NOT a card...Hmm that got me thinking!I decided to create a little home decor piece as I know this is something that my Mum would have absolutely loved to hang up. I started with a small 5" wooden embroidery hoop, stretching cream fabric across this before coating with gesso to give a nice base to work on.
Next, I printed out the Pretty Flower Wreath digi deal once onto thin card and again onto vellum, die cutting out the card image and adhered this to the hoop using Mod Podge and then fussy cutting out the vellum flowers and butterflies adhering these with 3D glue gel. Finishing touches were some super sparkly crystals and purple twine to hang the finished piece. Love and crafty hugs.
Wendy xx

Christin - For upcoming Mother's Day I made some different paper rosettes. They are versatile, you can use them as plugs, pendants or embellishments for gifts or cards or something like that. For decorating them I used the beautiful pre-colored Darling Buds, the Daffodil, the Hyacinth and the Primrose flower girl . I made the rosette for each girl from cardstock in a matching colour. Finally I used some sentiments from the Tons of Love greetings collection.

Leah - Hello my friends! I am sharing a card today that I created using the Thinking Rebel digital image from Polkadoodles. I coloured this image using my Prismacolor Premiere Pencils and layered it on some digital paper from the Winnie Special Moments Paper Heaven 4 collection. I created the sentiment with my Cricut Joy. I love how bright the colours on her turned out!

Kerri - Hello today I am sharing a bookmark I made using the digital stamp called Flower Fairy Sitting On A Toadstool. Image was printed onto card stock colored with Faber Castell Polychromo Pencils. I also used the Physical Stamp sets called Special Times and To Gnome You Is To Love You. I stamped the background trimmed the image and put all of it together.

Thanks so much to the team for their GORGEOUS inspiration this week!
