So let's see what the Design Team have been making...
Ana - Hi crafty friends! For this week’s Digi Choosday challenge, the Design Team was given a prompt to create something for Mother’s Day or Mom’s Birthday. I created mixed media Artist Trading Cards featuring Polkadoodles’ adorable Rebel Girl. I used the digi stamps Birthday Cake Rebel Girl , Flower Rebel Girl and Shopping Rebel Girl and colored them with alcohol markers before layering them onto textured, colorful mixed media backgrounds. Mixed media is such a fun and freeing process… just splash color, add texture, and go with what feels right! I finished my ATCs with bold sentiments to celebrate all kinds of mom energy. I’d love for you to join Polkadoodles’ Digi Choosday challenge and share your creations with us!And if you’d like to see more of my crafty projects, you can find me here:Instagram: @my.cat.and.crafts http://www.instagram.com/my.cat.and.craftsFacebook: My Cat and Crafts https://www.facebook.com/my.cat.and.crafts
Wendy - Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful week. Today the team was asked to create a card suitable for Mothers Day or a birthday so I decided to have another play with the Spring is Here Print and Cut File. I'm a little bit addicted to these now I've worked out how to use my ScanNCut properly. I wanted to create a 3D card that looked like shelves with flower pots on using bright yellow card to create the base and a colourful spotty card for the background. I printed out the SVG file a couple of times and then used distress inks to add a little dimension to all of the elements before assembling them with a little wet glue. Its loads of fun creating the little flower pots and butterfly - a bit easier than gardening LOL. If you are interested in how to create the card base then have a look at my blog for the card measurements. I decided to add an extra sentiment to the bottom of the card and finished it off with some sparkly gems. I hope you like my card and will join in the fun in the blog challenge this week. Have a fantastic week. Love and crafty hugs x.I would love it if you could follow me on social:
Kathie - Good morning crafty friends from far and wide. Welcome to another Digi Choosday. Although Mother’s Day has been and gone in the UK it’s still due to happen on 10th May here in New Zealand, Australia and the USA. I do wish it was on the same day worldwide. Today I used another wonderful Polkadoodles image Lilac Haze. This is a wonderful set as it has the pre- coloured image for those quick cards you need to make in a hurry or you’re just not into colouring. Also, a Black & White image which I coloured with the following Copic Chio markers: C1, YG00, YG03, YG63, Y35, BV000, BV00, BV02, BV04. It also includes design papers and sentiments. I’ve used the Thinking of You, sentiment from this set. I didn’t use the design paper from the pack that was my error, due to colouring my image at night so I used Water Colour Flower Stem . This is also my first Fan Fold card, I think next time I’ll make some changes. I look forward to commenting on your entries this month. Happy crafting everyone. You can find my complete instructions for this card on my blog https://kathiezkardz.blogspot.com/
Eve - Hello everyone! When I make cards for my mum she very often frames them so that gave me the idea for today’s card. I decided to frame the beautiful Butterfly Flowerpots image using a wood effect paper from the Udderly Cute love digital papers and attached a piece of Acetate to represent the glass of the picture frame. The sentiment is from the Spring flower Mother's Day Friends Greetings set, and I finished off my card with some gems and a tiny sprinkling of glitter.
Jane - Hi everyone! It was Mother’s Day here in the UK on 15th March and this was the card I made for my mum. Now like me she has a real fondness for cuteness, and the NOODLE PANDA COLLECTION must be one of the cutest digi sets around. This is FLOWER BOUQUET and I have added some pretty paper from the NOODLE PANDA SET 1 and a sentiment from the NOODLE PANDA THEMED MESSAGES. To ramp up the cuteness I cut my layers with circle dies and added to a scalloped circle card.
Judy - My inspiration project this week is a birthday card created with Winnie Daisy Butterfly Fairy. She was colored with Prismacolor Pencils, fussy cut and popped onto a die cut circle. The background is a combination of inking and stripes made up of solid cardstock and a pattern paper.Products used:I would love for you to follow me on social:
