PRIZES:
The random winner (chosen by Random.org) will receive a $15 voucher for the digi store!

The winner and top 3 for week 10 can be found at the bottom of this post.

So let’s see what the design team have made for us.

Nikki - For this challenge, we were told to think about Easter.... When I think of Easter, I think about bunnies. Noah is the most adorable little dude ever...... I used an oval spellbinder to cut out the digital image and inked him my Copic markers. The paper is us from Work and Play Collection 1 and the scrabble tiles are from the Love and Kisses collection.

Dawn As this is a think ovals challenge, possibly Easter, I decided to concentrate on the oval side of the challenge & used the papers from Back to Nature, which can be purchased here. I believe this is the best selling CD & I can see why. There are so many beautiful papers to be found, as well as lots of other elements on this CD.

Scatty Jan Ovals think Easter ....can only mean eggs for me! I have used the lovely Cherryblossom Lane collection CD for my card - The characters used that are also available as seperate digi's are - Blossom, Maisie, Horace, Wesley and Lily Bicycle. The bird, flowers, ladybirds, and baskets are all from the same collection. For the ovals I cut the eggs out of  one of the lush papers from the CD. You just can't beat an Easter Egg hunt . (pop across to my blog for lots more photo's)

Lynda: I hope you have fun with our Easter Challenge this week, I loved making this card. The digi stamp I used is called Fredericka which you can buy here.  I cut out some of the Easter eggs from the backing paper and layered them over the mushroom's in her basket. I also used the pretty and FREE Easter papers offered here. Have fun xx

Tanya...I’m just like Scatty Jan and when I think of Ovals and Easter I think of eggs, but instead of the chocolate kind I’ve decided to decorate one of those polystyrene eggs with paper from the Rose Budd collection (available as a CD collection and a Download collection and a design sheet (decoupage) from Cherry Blossom Lane called Bicycle Days and then added ribbon, a tatty lacy pink rose, hat pin and some lovely pink shimmery flower sequins and of course glitter.

KateNow I don't normally make Easter cards but seeing as we have lots of little ones in the family now, and more due this year, I decided it would be nice to make them cards. This one is for the twins who will be 2 next month. Everything I used is from the Cherryblossom Lane CD Collection including the super sweet Wesley digi image. More details are on my blog x

AnjieI have used the sweet Horace digital stamp, and papers and embellies from the adorable Cherryblossom Lane CD. I have coloured Horace with my Graph'It Markers. More details and photos can be seen on my blog.

Caz For my ovals card ive used the cute digi called Maisie. The papers are from the lovely  Baby Boom download..Image coloured with Graph it markers.

Monica. For this challenge I chose to make a 3D egghouse (oval, of course). I used the lovely mushroom pattern papers that are included Cherryblossom Lane Collection, the little mushrooms and the bunny topiaries -also from Cherryblossom- and the adorable Blossom Flower Picking.

Jane – Hi everyone!  I have created an Easter bonnet/basket for my project this week using the gorgeous Winston Full Collection! And of course I had to add some chocolate eggs for good measure! More delicious goodies (but no chocolate eggs) can be found in the store! Enjoy your day! xxx

Yvonne - Hi everyone! So this week we are thinking about Ovals and we were asked to think Easter.  Easter isn't JUST about the eggs to some people. To some people it's a lot more and I thought I would like my project for this week to reflect that. I used the FREE, yes, the FREE Tatty Easter Paper bundle which you can get here.  I opted to use the precoloured image of the Female Minister from the 'Love & Kisses' Collection.  Fished out some Spellbinders D'Lites for the embellishments and there you have it!

Wendy - For my card this week I've not gone easter, but rather what a few hundred kids will be doing while on thier Easter holidays! I've used the Gamer boy from Work & Play 2, also available on his own as a digi here and coloured using my Graph'its. The backing paper and embelishments are from the same collection, as is the sentiment, which I have resized and pasted onto the games console using Serif.

Christine  I used the wonderful Cherry Blossom image from the Cherryblossom Lane Collection.  I colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers and Colored Pencils.  I also used some of the pieces from the Work and Play 9 Collection,  which was the paper bow.  I also used the Ivy Cut File.

Great makes from everyone I’m sure you will agree - who knew ovals could be so cool!

The winner and top 3 for week 9 Mums The Word, can be found at the bottom of this post.

So let’s see what the design team have made for us.

Nikki - So with this "Lots of Layers" challenge, I did something a little different. I am really a card making person, I am not really into stepping outside of the box but decided to go for it here. I decided to create a digital scrapbooking page with the newly released Eden collection. EVERYTHING I used is from this gorgeous collection. You can find the download here. It is an 8 X 8 page and there are layers upon layers....... hope you enjoy =)
Scatty Jan for my Lots of Layers I went with a tag - I have used the wonderful Winston Collection that is available on either CD here or Download here. I have used Etty Shy character who you can also find on her own as a digi here, I have used her several times before but this time added some glasses on her (these can be found in the emblies section of the download/cd). The flowers , sentiment, balloon, bunting and butterfly are all from the collection along with the lush papers. I just added some pearls, bling and ribbon to finish .

Lynda: I love this weeks challenge, I find all Polkadoodles elements and images layer up so well. I used the beautiful All Sewn Up collection for this weeks challenge, you can buy this collection as a digital download here. If you love the background papers you can buy these in a paper pad here. Have Fun xx

Tanya  I skipped with glee when this week’s theme was announced.  Layers are what I do best as I love love love decoupage and adding lots of layers on my card this way.  I’ve die cut the shape of the card and also the layers and then using one of the design sheets (number 2) from the Work & Play 2XL Love Collection I have cut the decoupage out and layered it onto papers from the collection and glittered it up.  The scrabble tiles from the collection I’ve used to spell out the sentiment ‘On Your Prom’.

Monica-For my layers project, I made a shadow box with 3 layers. For each of the layers I used different pattern papers from Octavia Moonfly Download Bundle, the fourth layer is the lovely Octavia Moonfly Dragonfly. The butterflies are also layered and are included in Octavia Moonfly Collection.
Caz  For my lots of layers project I have used the fab Eden Blossoms available as a digi..Papers, butterflies and word hugs, are all from the Eden collection..The digi is also available in this collection which you can get as a Download or if you prefer a CD....

KateI am still trying to do other things than cards so decided this week to make a recipe folder for my daughter. I used Chef Girl from the W&P7 Collection and some papers from the W&P6 Collection. You can see more details and photos on my blog

Wendy - The layers on my card have been created by layering 2 cards on top of each other and making an open tunnel card, using nesting dies. The background is from the Rose Budd Collection, as all other elements from the card, including Constance. I've used Craft Artist to resize the embellies, giving aspect and to also get the bees on the hive itself.

Yvonne -  Hi there!  I decided to make a card focusing on the papers and turned to the Eden Collection for the papers. I distressed the edges of the main mat and layers and then used another paper to add extra accent.  For the embellishments I turned to the Flowers & Leaves bundle and used the flower wreath and the flower border. I think they go really well with this. I have layered up the papers and I also decoupaged the wreath and border.

Jane – Hi everyone!  I have created my layers by making a diorama/shadow box/tunnel card thingy (not its actual name) and using the oh so glam Dollie Daydream Shopping with papers and elements from the Dollie Daydream Girl Talk Bonus Edition collection. The really useful sky paper comes from the Octavia Moonfly Collection.  More utter lushness can be found in the store, so like Dollie shop ‘til you drop!! Enjoy your day! xxx

Anjie -  I've used an image, papers, sentiment and embellies from the fabulous new Eden download collection from Polkadoodles. It is also available in smaller collections HERE and as a CD HERE.  More details and pictures can be found on my blog.
Great makes from everyone I’m sure you will agree.

wk 11... Make Anything But a Square Card - Digi Choosday Crafting Challenge

Happy Choosday everyone.

That means it’s time for another challenge here at Digi Choosday.

Over the past few years square cards seem to be the most popular shape of card to make whether it be 5x5 or 8x8. So this week we thought we would rebel against the “norm” and show you that fantastic creations don’t have to be square.
So we would like to see
anything but a square card!

You can make anything you like maybe a card, a scrapbook layout of even home décor. As long as it follows the theme for this week. We don’t have many rules but check them out in the side bar if you need to - you don't have to use our products to enter so you can use anything you wish!

We give you two weeks to enter so that means you have until 31st March 2015 to enter and the winners will be announced on 7th April 2015.

The random winner (chosen by Random.org) will receive a
£10.00 / $15 (USD) voucher for the digi store
and our Top 3 Favourites will all win a FREE digi of your choice.

The winner and top 3 for week four can be found at the bottom of this post.

So let’s see what the design team have made for us.

Scatty Jan For my shaped card I have used the wonderful Rose Budd collection CD also available as a full download here.  All the papers, sentiments flowers and emblies are all from the collection. The letters to spell Mum are from the Octavia Moonfly Collection.. I just added a little bling, a few pearls and a few cut butterflies. I love making up these sorts of cards, and the collections over at Polkadoodles are so good for them.

Nikki - I do not make many cards that are not square shaped, but I do like doing it every so often.... I used the Grand Caliber Labels 1 for the background shape, it is hard to see but I swear it is there...... The image I used.... (my first Dollie Daydream!) She is gorgeous! I loved inking her up with my Copics..... She can be bought as a single digital or you can get her with the Dollie Daydream Goes East collection. Oddly enough, I used paper from the Christmas Joy collection..... It was that certain green I was looking for.........

Caz  For my shaped card i have used the fab digi Keyboards Boy.  Coloured with Graph its. You can also get this digi along with all the papers,  embellies and words on the fab Work n Play 8 as a Download or if prefer a CD.

Lynda: I love making different shaped cards so this challenge was so much fun for me. . I used the papers, embellishments and a colored digi stamp from the beautiful Baby Boom collection, you can find this as a download collection here. The baby brother sentiment comes from the New baby sentiment collection which you can find here. Have fun xx

Dawn I decided to make a gift card, rather than a card for a change & this fits in with the theme of this challenge & used the gorgeous papers that are on the fabulous Love & Kisses collection, which can be found here. There are some fabulous papers, which can of course be used for so many different themes. I also used & decoupaged a rose from the embellies section of the same CD.

Kate - I went with a 6"x4" oblong card and cut  the top off at an angle to make it a bit different. I used a pretty butterfly paper from the Winston Deluxe Full Collection along with some plain pale blue card and white card embossed with dots.....

Jane – Hi everyone!  So I went for a circle card for my make this week using the gorgeous Octavia Bird in Hand  and papers and elements from the Tail Feather Bundle which is a stunning peacock inspired collection.  I stumbled upon this whilst browsing all the incredible designs in Nikky’s shop which is jam packed full of yummy treasure, so go check it out!   Enjoy your day! xxx

Monica-When you give the chance to do "anything", I'll take your word and get the chance to try out new things. For this week project, I´m using the gorgeous Eden Collection precoloured images,  over printable waterproof vinyl. I printed out the lovely precoloured Eden Butterflies image, and added some butterflies, a tag and a sentiment, all included in the Eden Collection. To cut the vinyl I used "print and cut" feature from my Cameo. And finally applied everything to the glass bottle with transfer paper.

Tanya ....Oh, I do love creating cards that are anything but square and so this week I’ve used one of the fab templates from the Work & Play 9 2XL Love Collection in the shape of a wedding cake.  I’ve printed the template out a few times and then decoupaged the flowers and added some bling in the form of glitter, three resin roses and liquid pearls.  I’ve used the scrabble tiles from the Love collection to spell out the word ‘Wedding’ down the right hand side of the card.  Such a simple but great make.
Wendy - For this weeks card, I've done a double easel. My image, which I've coloured using my Graph'Its, is from the Cherry Blossom Lane CD, but the digis from this disc are available to downlaod from the Digi store. I've used Noah. The backing papers, flag bunting and the sentiment are all from Work & Play 4.

Yvonne - Hello there! Well this week I decided to go mental and make a 3D project. I'm in no way skilled at this but with the help of the Winston Collection, which you can get as a Digi Download or as a CD-Rom, I'm not sure I could have went wrong! I decided to make an exploding box. I have never done one of these but I really enjoyed it. I cheated and used my Cameo but if you llove measuring I am sure you would manage no bother at all. Alas that is not me! I used Etty Shy as my character, she is part of the Collections above or you can get her as a digi image on her own, here.  A few embellishemnts and sentiments from the collection and I had my decorations. The paper bow is also from the collection.  Loads more photos on my blog!

Anjie - To create the shape of the card I have used the Flower shape art 6 from Dutch Doobadoo. The image I have used for this is from the cute Sugarplum Daisy CD, and the papers are from the Octavia Moonfly download, as are the flowers and the butterfly. The fence and lamp post are laser art from Dutch Doobadoo. I coloured the image in with some cheap pencils that I picked up while I was in Egypt.

Great makes from everyone I’m sure you will agree - add your entry using the linky tool below.

Now for the winner and top three from week eight....

The Winners from our spring time pastels is in the air challenge can be found at end of this post....

So let’s see what the design team have made for us...
Scatty Jan Have really enjoyed this weeks challenge of use some lace, something I very rarely do, but can see myself using it so much more. I decided on a baby theme cutting the card , booties and tag out on my portrait. I used paper from the Baby Boom collection , all the little clothes emblies and the teddy are from that same collection. I added a small piece of lace to each. The buttons, balloons and little bird are from the Winston collection and the slippers (awwww so cute) and Harvey the rabbit are from Cherryblossom Lane collection - Harvey is also available as a digi you can find him here.
( He would be perfect for Easter projects along with all his friends) . I added some little pink pearls for the drawer knobs, and a tiny piece of pink ribbon to the tag .Lots more piccys on my blog xx

Caz For my add some lace project i have  made a tag box and few tags to place inside, I have used the lovely Miss Charlotte.  She is also available on the Rose Budd collection available as a CD or full Download...

Nikki - This week's challenge we had to utilize lace. It is not one of favourite things to use but I did it and I'm ok with the way it looks. I used the newly released Octavia Moonfly Rose Garden. These images are AMAZING..... the whole kit is incredible... The image can be bought on it's own {link above} or with the whole collection. The papers I used are also from the collection OR you can get them in a digi pack called Paper Heaven 4. The sentiment is made with the scrabble tiles from the Work and Play 9 Love and Kisses collection.

Tanya - This week I’ve created a birthday card for a good friend who is mad about sewing.  I’ve used the wonderful Etty Sewing from the Winston collection design sheet.  All the flowers, buttons, dress form, zip and safety pins are from the same design sheet.  You can get the Winston Collection here.
The papers used are also from that collection and I’ve used a sewing machine to sew the edges in a zig zag stitch and added some embellishments by way of metal scissors, sewing machine, twine, hessian and lace.  The scrabble tiles letters are from the Work & Play 9 2XL Love Collection

Monica -For my project I chose to altered a simple acrylic cutting board. To acomplished my purpose to turn something simple in something unique, I used the beautiful papers, tag and sentiment included in Picknix1.-Home grown collection. I must tell I loved the texture of the papers included in that collection. And to embellish my project, I used "Baking" a decoupage sheet from Cherryblossom collection. I really like the 3d look that decoupage technique added to my project. And finally, I added some lace.

Lynda: For this weeks lace challenge I decided to make a do not disturb sign using one of my favorite collections Work & Play 9 Love and Kisses. You can get this collection on a cd or as a digital collection here. Hope you have fun with this one Lynda xx

Kate - This week I decided to use a variety of Polka Doodles papers instead of an image and made a box of cards for my Mum, she is always needing the 'odd card' here and there :)
You can see all of my Lacey cards on my blog

Wendy - Oooo, love lace! For this weeks card, I've used Angel from Festive Holibobs, also available on her own here. By colouring in pink with my Graph'Its, I've made her suitable for a little girls card rather than christmas. The papers ore from the Baby Boom bundle. To finish off I've added a cute bunny die cut from Tattered Lace, loads of embellies and of course plenty of lace.

Jane – Hi everyone!  Now I don't use lace very often (although I own a ton of the stuff!!) but that may be because I rarely do anything vintage.  And I certainly associate lace with more of a vintage style. So for my DL card I looked to the gorgeous Rose Budd Full Collection for my inspiration as it is embodies the fabulous Regency period.  The pretty Miss Millicent is part of that collection but is also available individually and I coloured her in sepia tones to complete the look!
Enjoy your day! xxx

Yvonne - Hello! I opted to use Amelia Contemplating for this weeks challenge. Such a sweet image and ok, maybe a little bit of a vintage feel with her lace collar. But just little.  I made a 7x7 card (shocking change from me there), and I layered two papers from the gorgeous Rose Budd Collection onto plain vanilla mat.  I opted to add my lace - brown flower lace, so pretty - and then simply added one wooden embellishment.  It's almost a CAS card - but I love that the image and the paper are doing the work here.

Anjie - This is an easy one for me as I love to use lace, it's so feminine and pretty. I've used the beautiful Seashore Shannon image from the store and coloured her using my Graph'It Markers, the Mix It fluid and Mix It Palette. The papers, flowers and butterfly are all from the Octavia Moonfly Collection

Great makes from everyone I’m sure you will agree....
